Yet, many cases remain undiagnosed or misunderstood, as the manifestations of anxiety can be subtle or mistaken for natural aging processes. The nervous system, which governs our fight-or-flight responses, may become more sensitive with age, making older adults particularly vulnerable. Unfortunately, underdiagnosis persists, often due to stigma or overlapping health issues.
