Babies In The Womb Can Look Around
When they are not sleeping, fetuses in the womb are able to examine the environment around them. Even though eyes are fully developed in the fourth month, babies in the seventh month of development can open their eyes for the first time. They can take in their surroundings, see their own limbs and umbilical cords, and doing it all through the amniotic fluid in the womb.
Another interesting fact about development is that light can penetrate through the walls of the womb. This notion means that even before they are born, babies can react to lightness and darkness. They can also tell the difference between a day in the sunshine and a stroll through the moonlight.
