58. You Will Need to Begin Regular Testing
Suppose you have a family history of diseases such as breast cancer, diabetes, colon cancer, osteoporosis, or other chronic conditions. In that case, you probably need to begin getting tested for them when you are in your twenties or thirties. By the time you hit forty, there are some tests that you will have to begin getting done regularly. These include colonoscopies, mammograms and Pap smears for females, and prostate checks for males. None of these tests is pleasant, and you would probably just as soon go without them. Nevertheless, remember that getting a Pap smear is less invasive than dealing with cervical cancer.
