Realize It’s Okay Not to Be Okay

One of the first steps you need to take when it comes to rebuilding your confidence and self-esteem is that it’s okay not to be okay. Many people struggle with this because they feel they need to “stand strong” for their family, or they are afraid to be seen as “weak.” The truth is admitting that you aren’t in the best spot psychologically is a big step that you should be proud of. 

You’re not weak for admitting that you’re struggling. Every person in this world had moments where they’re carrying so much emotional and mental stress that they don’t know how to carry on. These are the moments when you need to take a step back, a few deep breaths, and realize it’s time to focus on you. It’s time to tell yourself and the people around you that you’re not okay. It’s time to talk to your family, friends, or even a therapist if you feel the need.
