Black Tea For Sunburn
Black tea, known for its bolder flavor is commonly used in southern states of the United States in sweet tea. Not only is it a delicious drink in summer, it also has a use for sunburns when applied topically. Black tea contains tannic acid, which is a natural astringent that can help to soothe and reduce inflammation in the skin. When used topically, black tea can help to alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with sunburns.
To use black tea for sunburn relief, start by brewing a pot of strong black tea. Once the tea has cooled to a comfortable temperature, soak a clean cloth or cotton balls in the tea and apply it to the affected area. Leave the tea-soaked cloth on the skin for 15-20 minutes, then rinse the skin with cool water. On top of providing relief for a sun-kissed complexion, it also will leave you smelling quite nice.
