15 Best Natural Home Remedies For Dry and Damaged Hair

In addition to this honey is a natural humectant, meaning that it attracts moisture. This humectant property moisturizes the hair and keeps it in tip-top condition. Another benefit is that frequent use of honey masks on your hair will naturally lighten it. This treatment is very effective when carried out twice a week.

An excellent hair mask can be made using honey and natural yogurt. Gently warm the mixture in the microwave or over a pot of hot water. The mixture must be blood temperature; you do not want to scald your scalp!  Massage the warmed mixture into your scalp and hair and cover with a shower cap. Find a warm, comfortable place to spend the next 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. Shampoo and condition as normal.  Use this treatment once a week.
