While potatoes are starchy, it is that very starch that digests slowly, allowing potatoes to keep you full longer. In studies of satiety, potatoes ranked number one for filling up tummies.
Due to their high quantities of starch, potatoes should be consumed in moderation and with the skin intact for extra vitamins and nutrients. Of course, avoid fried potatoes and opt for healthier roasted or boiled options.
